Job Description
Manufacturing EngineerPark Avenue Group Medical Device recruiting division is currently conducting a search for a Manufacturing Engineer. This organization is recognized throughout the world as a leader of multiple business units, including one particular division that caters to Healthcare. With the recent FDA approval of a new device that has the opportunity to revolutionize patient care, the fulfillment of this position is paramount to help ensure a successful launch in the next few months.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
*Collaborating with contracted partners who are responsible for the manufacturing of all device components to the Company’s cost targets, quality and performance.
*Continuous exploration of ways to reduce development and manufacturing costs along with quality improvement and improved efficiencies
*Providing technical device support to customers
*Utilizing an expertise in identifying supplier and contractor methodology improvements
*Support sales force to ensure product installation and usage goes smoothly
*Insure customer service expectations are met with both external supplier and internal operations
*Periodically participate in product design revisions &/or improvements
*Implement Six Sigma practices
Required Skills / Experience / Education:
*BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
*5 years at a minimum in designing and manufacturing medical devices, experience with respiratory devices or equipment a plus
*Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project skills required
*Direct experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques
